The family members are the most important people to each other. The family functions as a unit and has a family identity that it aims to maintain. There are life events such as death, trauma, divorce, financial challenges and health issues that threaten the functioning of the family. Family counselling aims to assist the family manage the adjustments brought by these life changing experiences.
